The new Jewish cemetery is located only one kilometer from the old Jewish cemetery. This cemetery was established in 1829 and 52,000 Jews were buried there. It was destroyed by the Nazis during World War II, when they used tombstones to build parts of a war camp, and it includes an obelisk to commemorate The Holocaust, some military sites and an empty hall left by the founder of the seminary in Lublin.
