Information about Jewish Cementery
The Jewish cemetery in Sopot was opened in 1913 on a quiet site of 0.5 hectares, among linden and birch trees that have survived to this day, and was the last resting place of many famous local Jewish families. The surviving graves are dated with inscriptions in Polish, German, Russian and Hebrew between 1922 and 1936, the year the last person was buried here. The cemetery includes a rare monument to Jewish soldiers who rose during the World War.
