Jangnemun Gate or Capital Gate is the northern and main gate of Hwaseong Castle in Suwon. The gate is considered an important historical landmark for many reasons, the first of which is that the date of its construction dates back to 1794 AD, and secondly, that the gate was one of the most important fortifications of the city, and finally because it has a majestic architecture in the traditional Korean architectural style. Visitors to this gate can get majestic views of the city from the top.
