Information about Jacob's Well
An amazing church built in the wonderful tenth century AD near the historic Balata area in Nablus and contains Jacob's Well, also called the Samaritan Well, and in Christianity it is believed that Christ drank from this well when passing through Samaria on his way from Jerusalem to Galilee. The stunning church was built by order of Queen Helena, mother of the Byzantine Emperor Constantine in the fourth century AD. This church may be rebuilt more than once over time until 1908 AD. This church is characterized by its amazing construction with religious drawings, symbols and statues that adorn it, which gives it a special and unique beauty.
