The museum was opened to the public in 2004, and displays the artifacts collected from the excavations in and near Izmir, and is divided into three main sections, namely stone work, ceramic work and precious artifacts. There is also a display of sarcophagi and fortresses showing the burial culture of the Hellenistic and Roman era, and carvings, inscriptions, gladiator friezes and Olympic Games can be found in this section as well, it is a unique and unforgettable experience.
