Information about Italica
Italica is located 9 km northwest of Seville in southern Spain. It is considered one of the oldest Roman settlements in Spain. It was founded by the Roman general Scipio in 206 BC. It was the birthplace of the Roman Emperor Trajan and Hadrian ( Hadrian), and Theodosius. This area contains many Roman ruins including the huge Roman amphitheater, the remains of the temple of Emperor Trajan, the Roman baths, and much more.
