The International Center for Underwater Archeology was established in Zadar in 2007 as part of the Croatian Air Force. Its mission is to protect, study and preserve the underwater cultural heritage of the Republic of Croatia, develop international professional and scientific cooperation and education in the field of underwater archaeology, and present and promote underwater heritage to the general public. . These antiquities are obtained through extensive searches and combing operations that roam the horizons and depths of the country's seas and oceans, with the help of a group of history researchers and archaeologists.
