Located on the north coast of Messina, the Provincial Museum of Messina is a multidisciplinary art museum with an interest in more than one field of art. It shows the stages of development of art and culture in Messina from the twelfth to the eighteenth centuries. The museum contains a rich artistic collection of paintings, statues and various sculptures that depict prominent personalities such as famous artists in Italy such as Andrea della Robbia (Antonello da Messina) and Girolamo Alibrandi and others. The museum also houses a selection of paintings, sculptures, and precious artworks collected from the destroyed buildings.
