The museum specializes in presenting an excellent introduction to the industrial history of Bologna, especially the silk industry. The museum includes lots of industrial models and interactive exhibits, and there is an English translation of about 2/3 of the exhibits, and you can see some of the working machines that were used in the 20th century and that contributed to the formation of the industrial history of the city, most notably the impressive silk weaving machine.
