The Indian Museum is a public institution whose mission is to preserve and promote the cultural heritage of the indigenous peoples of Brazil, through research, documentation, dissemination, and various actions to promote their languages, cultures and groups, particularly those of India, which aim to propagate a true, modern and impartial image of the indigenous peoples. The museum presents a collection of exhibits that include clothing, weapons, hunting tools, cooking utensils, fabrics and leathers for the Indian peoples who lived and settled this land!
