Ijen Restaurant The first restaurant in Indonesia to follow the zero waste philosophy, Ijen proudly serves fresh, locally caught seafood using the hand-rolling process in a spacious environment built from recycled materials. Located inside Bali's most progressive beach club, Ijen at Potato Head is the first restaurant in Indonesia to follow the zero waste philosophy - but that's not all. Seafood fresh from the ocean is simply gorgeous, caught locally using the hand-rolling process and classically grilled over an open fire. All the listings here are printed on sustainably cut paper and recycled truck tires, the furniture is made from chunks of foam and recycled wood, and the floor is strewn with a mixture of chipped boards, glasses, and cement. It is a wonderful space, with equally exceptional dishes such as mahi mahi, barramundi and local snapper served alongside an array of innovative vegetable dishes and some of the best local sambal we have ever tasted. This is a guilt-free feast at its best.
