The Al-Awl Reserve is located near Huthat Bani Tamim, 180 km south of Riyadh. It extends over an area of 1,840 km². It consists of a long and narrow valley bordered on both sides by steep rocky walls. It is ideal for protecting the Nubian ibex, wild ibex cats, mongoose and eagles.
