The small white Orthodox monastery is located at the top of the rocky mountain in a natural area. It was built in the early 16th century by Wallachian ruler Mihnea cel. Made of wood, the monastery has been repeatedly burnt down over the centuries, with the last renovation coming in 1993 after another fire. Its exterior is glossy white and is decorated with simple evangelical motifs. The interior is full of frescoes and icons.
