It is a large statue located in the main square in the city of Pecs. It is a statue that was built in honor of John Hunyad, nicknamed "The White Knight", who is considered a national hero and a prominent military and political figure in Hungary during the fifteenth century, as he fought in defense of the Kingdom of Hungary during attacks The Ottoman Turks from 1441 AD until his death. Where Hunyad defeated the Ottomans in many battles, and died during one of the campaigns against the Ottoman forces in 1456, so this statue was erected in honor of his heroism.
