The building of the House of Soviets is located on the town square of Mogilev. This building, which has a long and interesting political history, has managed to become today a distinctive landmark in the center of the square. After the World War, it was decided to establish a separate house for Lenin, and the house became the main headquarters for the meeting of the forces. Today, the House hosts the former Soviet, the Mogilev Regional Executive Committee and the main academic group of the Belarusian Russian University.
