Information about House Museum of Baba Tonka
The Baba Tonka House Museum is a key to understanding the Bulgarian Renaissance and the role of the city of Ruse in raising national consciousness. It was opened in 1958 in honor of the Seventh Congress of the Bulgarian Communist Party in the two-storey house of Nikola Obretenov. The museum exhibit deals with themes related to the revolutionary Tonka Obretenov ( Tonka Obretenova) and her family, the Zora Library, the Revolutionary Russian Black Water Committee in 1875, and the April Uprising of 1876, the museum also shows the preserved urban guest room.
