The Hobbit sloop is the only surviving historic ship from the Estonian era, and this 95-year-old ship invites you to sea, cultural and tasting excursions in Saaremaa. The schooner was originally built as a merchant ship in the Western Province between 1925-1926, and the Swedish shipbuilders called it the Hobbit, which means hope in Swedish. The ship's renovation was completed and it returned to Estonian waters, giving people a chance to get on board, breathe the sea air, and learn about Estonian coastal life.
