تمّ إنشاء هذا النصب التذكاري في مدينة كيمبرلي تكريماً للمحاربين الذين فقدوا أرواحهم أثناء الدفاع عن المدينة خلال حرب الأنجلو-بوير، فقد تمّ بناؤه في الفترة الواقعة بين عاميّ 1904-1912م على شكل برج يتكون من الحجر الرملي، ويضم مقبرة ل27 جندياً سقطوا خلال حصار المدينة الذي استمر حوالي 124 يوماً، وقد تمّ تصنيفه كموقع تراثي وطني.
