Built in 1897 according to a design by French architect Eugene Ferret, the Ho Chi Minh City Opera House is an elegant colonial building, with 800 seats, used not only to show opera, but also for a wide range of performing arts, including ballet. Concerts, traditional Vietnamese dance and various plays.
