The largest museum in southeastern Bulgaria is located in the city of Burgas and was established in 1912. This museum is based on research and study of the historical and cultural heritage in the region, storing it and then presenting it to the public in return for a simple entry ticket. Among the most valuable exhibits is the statue of the goddess Cybele dating from the end of the fifth century BC, as well as the marble statue of a man (Koros) dating from the end of the sixth century BC. Other than that, you will find many activities suitable for children and adults, including the role-playing activity, where traditional costumes, acting and many more are worn.
