The monastery of Bethlehem was founded in 1805 and was used by the monks of the Ermitanos de San Pablo San Antonio monastery, and in 2010 the last monks residing in it retired. The monastery is located in the eastern hills of Mallorca and at an altitude of 280 meters above sea level. The walls of the monastery church are covered from the inside by many frescoes, and one of the most prominent and important treasures of this monastery is the statue of Christ, which was given to the monks to consecrate the holy place. The people of the small town of Arta venerate the statue and perform the pilgrimage every year on the first of May in the monastery church.
