The Hazrat Khader Mosque is located in the south of the settlement of Afrasiab and opposite the famous Sayyab Bazaar. The mosque is one of the oldest Islamic religious buildings in Samarkand, as historians believe that the date of its construction dates back to the eighth century AD. Around the mosque there is a cemetery that folk legends say is made up of 7 levels of graves, which are the tombs of saints and prophets. The mosque has been destroyed throughout history several times, but it has been restored each time to become what it is now. Today, the mosque has magnificent domes, tall towers, ornate gates, and much more.
