The Great Mosque of Histanibashi is located in downtown Samsun opposite the fair grounds and is the largest mosque in the province. The mosque has a square plan covered by a central dome with corner vaults. The dome is located on an octagonal drum and has a flat appearance from the outside, and it is supported by towers in the four corners. The mosque is one of the most important religious tourist facilities in the city.
