Hansel Fishermann's Fountain, located in the Friends Square of Sopot, was unveiled on April 5, 1998, and was designed by architect Brunon Wandtke. The fountain sculpture shows a young man with a basket of fish on his head, and the statue of Hansel the Fisherman is one of the symbols of Sopot. In 2010, the fountain was dismantled and placed in a warehouse until the square was reconstructed, and after the renovation in 2014, a statue with a new fountain was placed in the square again.
