The Groeninge Museum offers visitors an overview of the history of Belgian plastic arts through six centuries of Flemish and Belgian paintings, including artworks by many local and international artists with some of the world's best examples of Flemish painting. There are examples of a number of rare art genres including Flemish primitive art, Renaissance art and others.
