The Great Lighthouse, also known as the Ras El Afia Lighthouse (Ras of Fire), is a vertical lighthouse used for navigating boats moored in the port of Jijel. It was built by Charles Salva in 1907 on a promontory located 6 kilometers west of Jijel. This whitewashed building is crowned with an octagonal tower 16.8 meters high, and many tourists visit the lighthouse to enjoy the charming view it provides over the surrounding landscape.
