The Granada Museum of Fine Arts dates back to the fifties of the last century, and is located inside the Palace of Charles V, which also houses the Alhambra Museum, and was opened as a regional museum in 1839. The permanent collection of the museum is located on the first floor and contains about 2,000 pieces, including paintings and sculptures. And the various drawings, which concern various topics, most notably the religious ones. There is also a library specialized in painting and sculpture in the Renaissance and Baroque periods.
