Villa Medicia di Castelo is surrounded by a magnificent garden designed in 1538 AD. The garden includes an exceptional collection of citrus fruits, trees and rare plants, a water fountain and some water ponds, and it is decorated with many sculptures dating back to the Renaissance. The most distinguishing feature of this park is the presence of an animal cave in it, which was closed for a while, but was reopened after a period of restoration. Some of its paths are decorated with colored pebbles.
