Geumjeongsanseong Castle is located on top of Geumjeongsan Mountain at an altitude of 801.5 meters in Busan. When it was built, it was the largest castle in Korea. Today, only a 4-kilometer section remains from the original model. The exact time of the construction of the initial castle is not recorded, but with reference to the location and size, it is assumed Built during the Three Kingdoms era, the current fortress was built in 1703 during the reign of King Seokjong and after the Imjin War (1592-1598) to prepare for any further invasions.
