Gedelmi Castle has survived as a medieval Byzantine fortress, which is located 12 km west of Kemer. The castle dates back to the ninth century AD, and was characterized by a huge design that includes towers, bastions, forts, storage vaults, training rooms for soldiers, and rooms for hand-made weapons. Today, due to the passage of time, only some stone traces remain from the castle.
