San Diego's defining landmark is the Gaslamp District, which consists of more than 16 buildings in the city center. The neighborhood has been listed as a historic district on the National Register of Historic Places, and began to develop in 1867 AD. Today, the neighborhood includes a group of cafes, play halls, bars, and various stores, in addition to a number of restaurants and cafes that offer the most delicious items.
