This museum was established to commemorate the victims of the Holocaust and to present the history and culture of the Jews from a new perspective. The museum is located in the Kazimierz district of Krakow, in the heart of the city's former ghetto. The museum aims to re-examine traditional stereotypes regarding Poland's Jewish past and help both Poles and Jews understand their history. The museum contains an education center that displays a collection of unique films related to Jewish culture and the Holocaust. The Museum's library is one of the largest and unique of its kind in Poland.
