Fort Felipe is a fortress that was built with the aim of defending the main port in Peru and the city of Lima during the colonial period. It was built in the period between 1747-1774 AD, as it directly contributed to repelling many colonial attacks. The castle has been converted to a museum dedicated to the Peruvian army, where the museum houses a collection of ancient historical weapons and military uniforms.
