Fort Charlotte is a British colonial-era fort built on a hill overlooking the island's port of Nassau. The fort was constructed in the late 18th century by British colonial governor Lord Dunmore after the end of the American Revolutionary War. The bowl has never been used in battle, so it is in very good condition. Visitors come now to learn about the island's colonial history, as well as to explore the majestic colonial architecture.
