Castle of the Boyards is located in the Strait of Bertouille d'Antoche on the west coast of France and is the location of the filming of the TV game show named after it. Although a fortress on the bank of the Boyard was proposed as early as the 17th century, work did not begin until the 19th century during the reign of Napoleon Bonaparte; Construction began in 1801 and was completed in 1857. The last scene of the French film "Adventurers" was filmed on the ruins of the castle in 1967.
