The Fire Station is a contemporary art space committed to supporting artists through specific programmes, including performances and public programmes. The fire station was built in 1982, and it was previously the headquarters of the first civil defense authority in Qatar, until late 2012, then it was redesigned in 2014 to host the global fire station. As for the museum design, the overall aesthetic appearance of the building is raw, industrial and simple. The design maintains an original honeycomb facade, which is very well known among the local community, and signifies the goal of “bringing the past into the future.”
