The historical Fawzia Mosque is located in the center of Izmit. It is one of the most beautiful mosques in Kocaeli. It has an architectural structure typical of the buildings of the Ottoman period. It was built by Muhammad Bey in the second half of the sixteenth century. In it, you can feel the fragrance of history, peace and spirituality at the same time. In front of this mosque there is a fountain and ablution, and behind it is a library that sells religious books, and around it is a beautiful tea garden.
