The port city of Agadir, which is very popular with tourists, attracts large numbers of visitors in July for the annual Timitar music festival. The festival began as a celebration of the culture of the indigenous Berber community that belongs to North Africa, and over the years it has become a well-known social and entertainment event among many locals in all cities of Morocco, as well as among tourists coming to Morocco. The festival offers a diverse program of cultural and artistic activities, in parallel with the wonderful musical evenings.
