Lake Virchensee lies in a secret spot behind the mountains of Mittenwald, inaccessible via a traffic-free forest path. It is a naturally stagnant lake with the great walls of Wetterstein reflected in its waters, in which you can easily snorkel, and these waters are also home to a number of ducks and geese. In the spring, the lake turns into a place of paradise, where the mountains and the surrounding plains are covered in a green suit, with a clear reflection on the water.
