This house was owned by a wealthy merchant named Ubaydullah Khoja. The museum was named after his son Fayer. The house is a fine example of residential architecture in the 19th century. The total area of the building is 3 hectares, and it includes in its courtyards several buildings and vast green spaces dotted with perennial trees and beautiful flowers. Visitors will find, during their tour of the house, the original furniture from the nineteenth century, and will be impressed by the mosaics and Islamic motifs spread on the walls and ceilings of all the buildings.
