On the outskirts of Torrox, on a small promontory overlooking the sea, stands a lighthouse, first lit in 1864. Torrox Lighthouse is an antique lighthouse with a cylindrical stone tower 23 meters high, now painted white, and crowned with a double gallery lamp. Today, the lighthouse is one of the city's distinctive tourist attractions, to which tourists and visitors come specially to learn about its ancient history.
