Information about Ezelpoort
This place is one of the four remaining gates in the medieval city of Bruges. And unlike other gates built on the banks of the canal, it is completely surrounded by water. It was built with the second set of city walls in 1297. It was reconstructed to the architects' new design, and the gate was renovated several times. The restoration work took place between 1991 and 1993.
