It is the largest local entertainment district in Oldenburg with an area of about 18 acres, established in the middle of the residential area in the mid-19th century. It is a prominent popular destination for outing in the city, suitable for all ages. The park consists of large green spaces covered with perennial oak trees that are estimated to be more than 300 years old. It also includes many paths suitable for walking and cycling, and a children's playground. The garden is also decorated with a stone fountain and small pools of water.
