Located behind the Renaissance facade in the former town hall in Kazimierz, the Ethnographic Museum features beautiful home-made supplies, colorful traditional costumes and delicate woodcarvings. This museum is a mixture of Polish secular and religious life through the ages. The most prominent feature of it is the presence of a charming group of ornate cots called szopki in Polish, which were designed in the style of Russian Orthodox churches with many towers and painted in bright colors such as red, green and gold.
