Located in the Fat Margrethe tower in the heart of the Old Town, the Estonian Maritime Museum presents the maritime history of Estonia and includes the seaplane port where the museum's ships are located. The Fat Margaret Tower was built from 1511 to 1530 during the reconstruction of the medieval city gate system. The museum displays a collection of marine instruments spread over four floors with a view of the old town, port and Gulf of Tallinn from its rooftop.
