St. Carmen's Church is one of the city's most impressive landmarks, and a place visited by tens of thousands of tourists every year. Although the building is sturdy and is still in very good condition, the date of its construction is unknown, because the city municipality carried out repairs to the building in the eighteenth and nineteenth centuries that completely changed its features. The church is distinguished by its beautiful dome, high arches, and details inspired by the Romanesque period.
