Elizabeth Park is the largest park in Szeged, with an area of 15 hectares. It was an area full of wild trees and weeds, and was transformed into a thriving Baroque garden with many giant trees such as oak and maple that give visitors perfect shade to lie under. This park hosts an outdoor festival and some of the city's famous sporting events. It also has a relaxation area with a fountain and is a popular place for working out, hiking and cycling.
