Eldemar is a museum dedicated to displaying the events of one of the biggest natural disasters in Iceland, namely the volcanic eruption that occurred on January 23, 1973 AD, which lasted for 5 months, which destroyed about 400 homes and local buildings and displaced more than 5,000 residents of the island; And that is through its internal exhibitions, which include photographs and various drawings that depict that fateful night.
