El Jem Museum is an archaeological museum located in the town of El Jem in the state of Mahdia, and contains the arts of the Roman era, including mythical figures, abstract elements and animals, and includes many architectural elements that belong to the decoration of the magnificent Roman villas and ancient public buildings in the city, in particular Luxurious mosaic panels, the museum was built on the site of a Roman villa and reproduces its design: a central courtyard with a corridor that leads to the rooms where sculptures, mosaics, porcelain, etc. are displayed, and the museum leads directly to the "archaeological garden" that includes the remains of the aristocratic villa known as "the peacock" or " Solertiana".
