Al-Atf Palace, also known as Tajnint, was founded by Sheikh Khalifa bin Abghour in 1012 on a rocky hill below the M’zab Valley. It is characterized by the presence of two mosques inside, and each mosque has its own pyramidal minaret. The palace celebrated its millennium in 1996 under the slogan “Joy, Hope and Love.” Algeria”, and it was a real leap that allowed an uprising in the urban and architectural field in Ghardaia, and on this occasion the palace received special attention with the aim of protecting and promoting the local architectural heritage and reconsidering traditional building techniques.
